He is also certified in Makoplasty robotic technology for total hip replacement, total knee replacement, and partial knee replacement surgery. Dr. Hall was one of several physician leaders that laid the groundwork to begin offering outpatient joint replacement at Cascade Surgicenter in 2015, the first Ambulatory Surgery Center to offer same day joint replacements in Central Oregon. He has extensive experience identifying the cause of joint problems and determining the best course of action with his patients to enable them to get back to what they love doing. Treatments may include exercise, activity modification, injections, or sessions with a physical therapist. When surgery is necessary, he uses the most advanced techniques to minimize pain and shorten recovery times. Dr. Hall’s medical career has literally taken him all over the world. After graduating from medical school at SUNY Health Science Center in New York, he served 14 years of active duty with the US Army, working as a flight surgeon in Germany and in Somalia, and as part of NASA’s Space Shuttle Emergency Medical Team in Morocco. He left the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel and joined the St. Charles Center for Orthopedics and Neurosurgery’s orthopedic team in 2005.
