McCollam, M.D., joined Peachtree Orthopedics in 1988. He specializes in treatment of problems of the upper extremity - hand, shoulder and elbow. Dr. McCollam is the past president of Peachtree Orthopedics and has been named one of the top orthopedic hand surgeons in Atlanta for the past 7 years from 2010 - 2016. He completed his orthopedic training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He also completed additional training in hand and upper extremity surgery, as evidenced by his fellowship at Indiana University/St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis. Dr. McCollam received a scholarship as an AO International Upper Extremity Fellow at the University of Bern in Switzerland. He currently serves as a content editor for the American Society for Surgery of the Hand's Hande learning portal, and was recently appointed as chair for the society's quality metrics committee which will focus on developing quality and performance measures for hand surgery in the United States.
